Southeastern Bioenergy Conference 2007
The Agricultural Innovation Center is a sponsor of the 2007 Southeastern Bioenergy Conference, July 31-August 2, at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center. One of our areas of focus is facilitating the development of bioenergy in Georgia; this industry is booming and we are doing our part to position Georgia as a leader.
Topics for the three-day conference range from understanding the business of bioenergy, advances in cellulosic ethanol and waste-to-energy development, to a legislative roundtable discussion. Following each general session, breakout meetings are planned allowing time for Q&A with the speakers. The keynote speaker will be Ron Faegan, the leading developer of ethanol plants in the United States.
A wide variety of people and businesses - growers, entrepreneurs, educators, elected officials, investors and others - will find a wealth of interesting information at the conference. In addition to national and internationally known speakers, participants can learn more at vendor booth displays in the lobby, including more information about Georgia's Bioenergy One Stop Shop, another organization in which AgIC is an active participant.
